Comment (by Hans Streibel):
In the meantime I testet SuSE 10.0. They have a kernel 2.6.13-15 and
the madwifi modules are already included. But I still get exactly the
same error messages.
And I used irqpoll during startup of the system.
Durching boot-up the system went into an endless loop that had
something to do my eth0. eth0 is an ethernet card - pcmcia, 16bit.
Thus I pulled out that card and started again. This time the system came
up and the errors were gone. They are even gone, wenn I boot the system
without the irqpoll option and when that pcmcia card is not plugged in.
"ifconfig ath0 up" does not give any errors at all.
But when I then plug in the ethernet card, the same errors come up
again.
I really don't understand what's going on.
Maybe it's a kernel issue? But what part of the kernel?
