Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):

 My problem is that I am unable to connect either the
 [http://www.lantronix.com/device-networking/embedded-device-
 servers/wiport.html Lantronix Wi-Port] or an iPAQ rx4700 to a AP VAP using
 WPA-PSK with either hostapd (0.4.9/0.5.3). Before changeset

 I am using madwifi-ng as the AP using
 {{{
 /usr/bin/wlanconfig ath008 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode ap
 }}}
 to create the AP mode VAP. I then run hostapd for the WPA-PSK. I am
 trying to connect a Lantronix Wi-Port to the AP using WPA-PSK and an iPAQ
 to the AP using WPA-PSK. In my case the iPAQ is a rx4700.
 [EMAIL PROTECTED] is using a different iPAQ to connect to his(her?) setup.

 The AP is set to broadcast the SSID. I usually create 4 VAP's, one
 monitor, 2 with WPA-PSK and the last one uses WEP128. I also doing
 bridging and VLAN's.

 My iPAQ is set to prefer a connection to the one VAP I am testing with.
 The second VAP running WPA-PSK is not configured in the iPAQ (although it
 shows up in the scan window).

 Of course testing with the iPAQ's is hindered because of ticket
 [http://madwifi.org/ticket/417 417].  With the Lantronix Wi-Port, I am
 able to turn on power save mode.
