Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):

 Hi!
 Thanks for your help!
 Unfortunately using "iwconfig ath0 ap off" doesn't fix it.
 Even specifying the Mac-address of the AP as commented out in my original
 report doesn't work.

 {{{
 ath0      IEEE 802.11b  ESSID:"domanig"
           Mode:Managed  Frequency:2.437 GHz  Access Point: Not-Associated
           Bit Rate:1 Mb/s   Tx-Power:17 dBm   Sensitivity=0/3
           Retry:off   RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
           Encryption key:9246-BF85-65E9-4DE6-089B-E70E-F6   Security
 mode:restricted
           Power Management:off
           Link Quality=42/94 Signal level=-53 dBm Noise level=-95 dBm
           Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
           Tx excessive retries:0  Invalid misc:0   Missed beacon:0
 }}}

 (This is the output when using "iwconfig ath0 ap off".)
 The attachment "madwifi-debug.txt" above contains debugging output
 captured when using "iwconfig ath0 ap 00:02:2D:61:CC:94".
 Please tell me if I should provide additional info.
