 I did not get the time to run your command, but for sure, there are many
 other WiFi networks in the vicinity, thus probably some of them are on the
 same channel. I tested with ad-hoc and ad-hoc demo mode. In this latter
 case, is the BSSID still used? Is an ad-hoc demo network equivalent to an
 ad-hoc network with a BSSID of 00:00:00:00:00:00?

 Next question: when you say that RSSI is not used much in the rate
 algorithm, is there only one rate computed for all connections (ie TCP/IP
 connections) or is the rate computed specific to one connections (based on
 MAC of course, not IP addr.)? Maybe some insight on what data are used by
 the rate algorithm could help.
