New description:
New laptop with PCI-E bus.. Atheros Chipset AR5006EX (AR5423).. I can
associate with an AP, but for some reason the packets are maybe getting
garbled. Don't have windows to test with, but I have another Atheros
chipset card in my old laptop that works great. I can put them both in
athdebug mode if there's any testing that needs to be done. It would a
great alternative card those the newer laptops with PCI-E that don't want
to use Intel. Router has been reset to factory defaults to rule out
WPA/WEP or MAC filtering as well.

Comment:
Obviously the PCI-E card is recognized and supported by MadWifi 0.9.2.
However, the PCI-E card seems unable to associate to the AP, which sounds
like a familiar problem that has been reported by others as well.
Do you run the same version of MadWifi on both laptops? If not, please try
so and see if the association trouble also exists on the "old" laptop.
