 It's the distributions' job to package software for their distribution. We
 do some work to try and help users to use the software directly, but it
 isn't a necessity or our top priority; expecially given that we haven't
 even made a major release yet. I would suggest that, if you find your
 distribution lacking, then you bring the issue up with them or find a more
 suitable distribution. I entirely support making software intuitive and
 easy to use.

 With regards to your problem, it seems simply that you either don't have
 the correct configured source/headers, or the build directory isn't
 pointing at them correctly. You can tell the MadWiFi Makefile specifically
 where the headers/source is by setting KERNELPATH variable:
 {{{
 make KERNELPATH=/usr/src/linux-headers-or-whatever
 }}}
