Fedora Core 6 (currently at test2) runs a 2.6.18rc kernel but it
advertises itself as being 2.6.17 so the check fails. Just include the
line
#include <linux/proc_fs.h>
in ieee80211_linux.c and it will compile and run but....as of today with
kernel 2.6.18rc4 with daily patches I get this error (madwifi r1704):
