Hi all,
i'm sorry this is not the proper place to post a "works" report. I'm
running Fedora core 5,this is the uname -a:
Linux pcname 2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 #1 Tue Mar 14 15:48:33 EST 2006 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux
trying to use ndiswrapper for getting a Philips SNN6500 pcmcia wireless
card to work, i experienced kernel panics and general system crash. By
means of lspci i then realized it was an Atheros chipset i was working
at,this is the lspci output:
[...]
06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5006X
802.11abg NIC (rev 01)
After some googling i found this madwifi site and even if the chipset
wasn't in the list of the supported ones, i tried anyway and succeded
following your newbie step by step guide.
So thank you very much and write to me if you need any detail.
Good bye
Marco
