Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
I *may* have a similar issue. I have an Apple Airport Express AP (latest
firmware updates applied), and I'm running the latest madwifi svn (as of
around November 1st) on my Mini (Solo). The OS installed on the mini is
Fedora Core 6, kernel 2.6.18.
I get spotty performance -- sometimes I get hours of perfect performance,
and then I get constant disconnects and reconnects. I am only seeing that
behaviour when I'm in Linux -- booting in OS X doesn't seem to have the
same problem.
The same problem occurs on my IBM Thinkpad (Atheros wireless chipset), and
the behaviour is exactly the same -- random disconnects and reconnects,
sometimes rare, sometimes separated by 2-3 minutes or less.
I would love to troubleshoot this problem to help solve it. The distance
between the AP and the client cards is negligeable (few feet). The
disconnects do not occur when connecting to a different AP, though I still
have to try it with WPA, to see if it's only a problem with
wpa_supplicant.
Thanks in advance!
