#1632: Why there are 2 interfaces ath0 and wifi0

 Hi,

 Can you let me know what the reason is that there are 2 network
 'interfaces' that show up in the ifconfig command in my Fedora 5 machine
 using madwifi driver.(Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC
 (rev 01))

 ath0
 wifi0

 but if you do iwconfig, there is only ath0.

 What is purpose of showing wifi0?
