Usefull you just patched code without any result...
The ticket states the fix only works on older hals. So the patch should be
applied to 0.9.3.x versions since these still run with HAL 0.9.18
This fix doesn't help on a 0.9.30.x based HAL and thus there is no need to
apply the fix in trunk.. It would be better to put effort in fixing the
real cause of the problem.
