 Could you please explain more. I've been googling for this function but it
 doesn't give me any hints.

 All I see are 3 variables which could be filed with average RSSI values
 which could be updated and given to the HAL. Problem is what does this
 values mean for a card in AP or Adhoc mode?

 There is only 1 set of variables for all received traffic?!?!? So what
 should go in these varables.

 Does this mean that ANI is working in station mode due to the fact that
 there are average RSSI values filed for received beacons?
