New description:
Hi,
I am another user of the ubiquiti expresscard and I was involved in
[ticket:1696 ticket 1696] too.
sadly it does not help to solve my problems with freezing.
Some details:
* ubuntu on gutsy
* custom kernel {{{Linux rasputin 2.6.23.8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Dec 14
16:25:35 CET 2007 i686 GNU/Linux}}}
* gcc-Version 4.1.3 20070929 (prerelease)
* madwifi --> latest svn (this morning)
I can reproduce the problem with this steps:
* {{{wlanconfig ath create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode monitor}}}
* {{{ifconfig ath$number up}}}
* {{{airodump-ng ath$number}}}
exactly at the moment on which I started airodump-ng the system freeze.
I do not think it is an aircrack problem, because if I release the card
(system then reboots hard automaticly) and put it in immediately again the
system hangs on the log on screen ...
I would like to contribute with some debugs
cheers
sven
