Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
Sorry for posting again
But this stuck_beacon errors really bug me.
As I mentioned above, I got that far, that the stuck beacon errors only
appear when i
connect with my Nokia N80 mobile device now. Reading a bit Documentation
said that this
might be a problem with wmm (Wifi Multimedia) Powersaving unaware access
points.
The wmm Powersaving works like this
"The underlying concept of WMM PowerSave is that the STA (station)
triggers the release of buffered data from the AP by sending an uplink
data frame" quoted from Wikipedia.
[http ://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_Multimedia_Extensions]
So maybe this leads to a problem, because the Access point has to release
all data stored in
the queues.
Turning power managment off on the N80 prevents stuck beacon messages but
is no real solution
because Wifi without powersaving drains a lot of battery.
Is it possible to enable the wme power saving feature of madwifi with
iwpriv setwmmparams?
Bye Willem
