Hi all, I have just generated the list of voters for the elections, and thought that you might be interested in some stats:
Number of maemo.org accounts on 10/6/2008: 12288 Number of accounts with karma under 5: 9454 Number of accounts with karma 5 and 9: 2786 Number of accounts with karma between 10 and 24: 607 Number of accounts with karma 25 or greater: 437 Especially noteworthy for me was that a number of people (6) have negative karma - mostly from having blog posts aggressively buried. A couple of the people in this situation surprised me a lot! The 6 negatives are: chri_ke, karoliina, maddler, mikel, thoughtfix and zeenix. The conclusion I draw from this is that 90% of people who create a maemo.org account never do anything with it, and thus don't merit a vote in a community election. But as we've already agreed on how this one will work, I'm going to work on the assumption that those 10000 people won't vote.
