I agree... There were all of maybe 15 North Americans (yes,
including Canada) at the summit -- and I think we were all sponsored
(i.e., I don't think _any_ Americans came without sponsorship).
Even if the summit was immediately after another conference (like it
was this time), there might be a bunch of additional registrants, but
they wouldn't be Maemo community members.
I actually think Germany is a great central location for most people
in and around Europe. And, it's not that difficult for Americans to
get there (e.g., no visa required, easy customs, etc.).

But how many of the first summit European attendees would be at
summit 2
in the US without sponsorship and how many people missed out this
time
because it was in Europe? Interesting statistic maybe?
