Hi,

I think having a Maemo presence at E3 (http://www.e3expo.com/[1])
would be something to be considered -- this is an electronic
entertainment show, heavily weighted on entertainment... We're talking
thousands of people to see Maemo/IT exposure. Just having a booth
would be quite a big deal.
I've worked E3 about four times, I think -- it's constant visitor
excitement from morning to night. People can buuy directly from booths
a lot of times too. This may be more of a "Nokia" thing, but I think
the public would be awed by Maemo.
On another note, two others that I didn't mention before might be:
SXSW (http://sxsw.com/[2]) & SIGGRAPH (http://www.siggraph.org/[3]).

Forgot to comment on this one.
... why not, we can consider this case by case. There are technical
events, there are business shows, many degrees in between and all of
them get some kind of Nokia presence. In some cases it might make
sense,
in some cases it might not.
Let us know if you have any specific proposal.
