It's Maemo's "freedom of speech" A.D 2012 Q4. Not so long ago, joerg
reisenweberg - current Councilor, and close colleague of chemist - declared (as
a chanoperator of #maemo IRC channel) that "busybox-power is a taboo" thread on
IRC - it was during conversations about including IDont's work inside CSSU,
which was opposed by Joerg.
As you can see, everywhere in (current) Maemo's management, we have lot of
people, that have "new" view on meritocracy, freedom of speech, and FOSS ideals
as a whole.
Huge "excuse me" to Mentalist Traceur, Qwazix, (Councilors) and Tim (Board
Member) - as per my knowledge, they have never did, (or ignored, when
witnessed) any act of power abuse, so my last comment about Councilors was too
general (although three worthy people, from pool of 5 Councilors + 3 Board
members, is a little sad result).
As little hope as I have for Maemo, I wonder, how they reaction for this
situation will look. Banning innocent people (JCDenton, aquamarine), and my
humble case of ban for being "guilty" of expressing opinion about candidacy, is
enough to see, what kind of standards they present.
While I may be controversial person, I have never hurt any Community member,
even less they way chemist, ivgalvez, and Reggie did (directly), with help of
few others (Texrat, amongst others), that knew about abuse, and did nothing. It
seems, that there are no regrets, no one feel need to pardon victims, and
they're overall very proud of own exploits.
I can't imagine healthy Community, where such people are performing any
official duty.
/Estel
