What I'm trying to say is that we have dependencies and apt - why would
python
need to be installed by default in the platform when it can get
automatically
installed when user installs first application that is written in python?

I agree that python is nice, but after one adds python to platform,
someone will ask
for ruby, java, mono, gfortran, cobol, php5, ocaml, erlang, lisp, emacs,
pike, tcl, yforth,
basic, brainf*ck, and so on.
