Yes mine does this everytime, mine is currently set to R&D mode so I thought that might have something to do with it. I figure it must be some setting that I don't have time to look for right now but if anyone figures this out I would love to hear how to get it to stay off, otherwise when I get time I'll look into it.

Yes, i thought that as well, but I have double checked, WLAN connection search interval is set to "Never".
