'Twas brillig, and Olav Vitters at 13/02/12 11:28 did gyre and gimble: > I know drakconf is a suggests, etc, just thought it would be a suggests > elsewhere (another task-*, maybe *x11* something, etc). E.g. > > task-kde4-minimal -> task-graphical > task-gnome-minimal -> task-graphical > > task-graphical -> drakconf, etc
Just FWIW, I also like this idea (tho' fully understand if it's decided not to have YATP (Yet Another Task Package)) I also like the name "graphical" as it is future proofing against X11->Wayland transition and also uses the same naming as systemd targets (so if there is a non-graphical equiv of this then task-multi-user would be my preferred naming :D) > Then you'd only have to add something like drakconf in one place. The > task-graphical is a ugly though. It wouldn't make sense to install > "task-graphical" (you'd only get drakconf and some other stuff). I don't personally think it's that ugly. You may only want e.g. a MythTV or XBMC etc. media frontend in which case a full blown DE is simply not needed, but a graphical display certainly is.
