I don't know anything about GNOME, but DKE is more then kwin, KDE
consists of at least kwin, plasma, some plasmoids like the panel, the
menu and so on. I would add dolphin and konsole as well.
I would vote for a discussing a clean policy about such things, maybe in
the debriefing after Mga2?
