Even in the absence of an en_GB team, is this not something someone
with svn access can fix? It seems like a quick fix for what is
indeed a misspelling.
Yes, but we don't even have en_GB.po files. We could create one, but
just for one word?

Ah, I didn't look that far. I was under the assumption that an en_GB.po file was already here and then it would be little trouble for anyone to fix that. I agree, I don't think we should create new .po files without someone willing to maintain them. Perhaps John or the bug reporter would be willing to do this? If yes, then I'd say "more power to them", even when it is just a single word. I think in general for any _XX language the differences with the main language will be limited to variant spellings and expressions in just a few places.

Or should we correct all those misspellings on a per bug report basis?
Since there is quite a large number of spelling differences between
en_GB and en_US.

Agreed. I just am not sure if closing the bug report is the right thing to do. The report is correct and someone went through the trouble of reporting it and now this will disappear off the radar again. It would be nice if we would still keep this report around for the time when someone will actively work on en_GB localisations.

I would rather hope for those British people who would like to have a
correct British spelling, to join us...

Amen.
