Thanks Yuri. Nice job. I think it's worth committing it in svn[1].

But what about the already translated .lang files ?
The only way to work with po files is to run the script and
translate
them again ? (i hope no :))
Dimitrios, did you miss this part of explanation?
If you ever need to update something (.lang's were updated or you
found a
typo, etc.) just run
python langpo.py
I hope that someone will test this procedure some more and put it
in
wiki. I'm sure that this script deserve that.
Best regards,
Filip.

I run the script in the folder with the English .lang files, how i
will
merge them with my existing .lang files?
If i run the script in the el folder nothing happens
Attached is a one-time converter for existing translations.
Run it as
python translated_converter.py -l <lang_code>
(Ex.: python translated_converter.py -l el)
in a folder of translations. Then copy po's with their folders into
/en
folder and run
python langpo.py
Thanks Yuri, i will give a feedback later
In some files i have incomplete po file like the 2.lang the po file has
only 1 string:
#
msgid ""
msgstr ""
"Project-Id-Version: 2.el.lang\n"
"Report-Msgid-Bugs-To: [email protected]\n"
"POT-Creation-Date: 2012-09-10 06:38+0200\n"
"PO-Revision-Date: 2012-09-10 06:38+0200\n"
"Last-Translator: Duffy Duck <[email protected]>\n"
"Language-Team: el <[email protected]>\n"
"MIME-Version: 1.0\n"
"Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8\n"
"Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n"
#: 2.el.lang
msgctxt "/en/2/download_index.php +188"
msgid "Same + nonfree firmware"
msgstr "Το ίδιο + μη ελεύθερο firmware"
And in the most of the po i have only the headers.
Should be fixed now (it was hard to parse custom formats ;) ). Thanks
for
the testing.
Ok, with a first look it seems that the po files are correct except the
"about" , in the last string it merges two at once:
#: about.el.lang
msgid "<a href=\"%s\">Logo, CD covers files, media files</a>."
msgstr ""
"<a href=\"%s\">Λογότυπα, γραφικά, εξώφυλλα CD/DVD</a>.\n"
" \n"
";<a href=\"%s\">Current graphics charter</a>.\n"
"<a href=\"%s\">Χάρτης των γραφικών της διανομής</a>."
about.el.lang has an extra space in line 73. This cannot be predicted by
the script, I can write the code that strips spaces, but who knows what
can be found in other files... Please remove it. ;)
Another thing is the team mailing list address:

I cannot predict neither the team list nor the last translator. Well, I
_can_ but I think it is not worth to as all PO files are transient. If you
have any other proposal about the last translator just put it in the
script (it's in the place where Filip propose to put it). ;)
