This is NOT a bug.

You do NOT want to remove the page information as this is essentual to
correct working of Animated GIFs.

To do it properly use...
    convert jumping_egg.gif -crop 146x167+20+25! cropped.gif

This is a veiw port crop, and not only crops the images (frames) but
adjusts the canvas and position of the cropped frames to fit into the
'viewport' area specified.

In other words, doing this will preserve the relative locations of all
frames relative to each other.
