|
| The original gif i use:
|
| When i crop it with following statement:
| convert jumping_egg.gif -crop 146x167+20+25 +repage cropped.gif
| The result is:

|
| When i try to use coalesce:
| convert -coalesce jumping_egg.gif -crop 146x167+20+25 +repage -deconstruct
| cropped.gif
| i get:

| Notice here the egg disappearing...

| Hope you have use from this...

Adendium. -coalesce and -deconstruct, still has some problems with
some special animation styles, though though this can be overcome
manually.

This problem has proved to be difficult, especially when -deconstruct is
used for a sequences of frames. I will be tring to get some time from
my busy schedual to look at the source code for these functions and
attempt to get them works right.

ASIDE: even other GIF animation optimizers do not always work right,
as my tests of 'gifsicle' show. Again proving the difficult nature of
GIF animation handling.
