I am new to the group, but hope the combined knowledge here will be able to help me.
I am building a web-based application that handles shipping labels received electronically from the shipping company. When I receive the label image from them, it comes 1400x950 at 72dpi. I need to shrink it down to 618 pixels wide so it fits on a sheet of paper. I am able to do this properly in Photoshop. I can kind of trick GIMP into doing this as well (by setting the print size). Using the height and width attributes of an html IMG tag cause a web browser (at least IE and Firefox) to properly resize the image as well. None of these methods work for my application though. When I try doing this with imagemagick, the barcodes on the label are ruined. They are either blurry (using resize), or the bars are either lost or distorted (using sample). I've tried using the different contrast and sharpening functions as well without any luck, the barcodes still come out unreadable. I have posted a sample online (with some of the text removed for our clients privacy). http://slushcentral.com/images/source3.png Can someone help me, I've been working at this for several days without luck. Thanks in advance, Troy _______________________________________________ Magick-users mailing list [email protected] http://studio.imagemagick.org/mailman/listinfo/magick-users
