| Hi imagemagick users
|
| I've done some more testing using the rotate flag and I've found that when
| using -rotate '90<' all the images that should be portrait go landscape and
| vice versa. When using -rotate '90>' nothing happens i.e. the images don't
| rotate at all, whether they are landscape or portrait. Odd...
|
| Any ideas? It almost seems like the > flag is broken?

That will be a bug!!! Hmmm...
convert logo: -rotate '90>' x:
Rotated the landscape logo: image to portrait.
convert logo: -rotate '90>' -rotate '90>' x:
Only rotated once.
convert logo: -rotate '90>' -rotate '90<' x:
rotated it again, making the image upside down.
convert logo: -rotate '90>' -rotate '90<' -rotate '90<' x:
left it upside down...
Everything seems to be in working order for IM 6.2.7-9 (beta)
| Any other way for me to make landscape images portrait?
|
If you are stuck with your broken IM you can always force the
images landscape, then add an extra rotation to make landscape
convert image.jpg -rotate '-90<' -rotate 90 result.jpg
There is always a way... See Signature
