My images are shown in a large number of forums, where the readers
just do not know from where the picture is copied.
So I want a script to create from some 1000 pictures
versions with the text below about the URL from the page
where the picture is.

I think they meant that it would be a waste of CPU to create them on
the fly. Instead, they suggested creating the 1000 alternates ahead
of time and then use an apache rule that will serve the alternate
version when the request comes from else where.
For a command line to create an alternate (resize, add text), try the
examples at
http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/graphics/imagick6/
Once you have the commandline tuned and tested on several examples,
then, under bash, you can use a "for loop" to create all 1000 in one
swoop.
