I've tried to to ask this question several different ways, but this
seems like such a common thing to do that I'm having a hard time
believing no one has a ready solution for this.
I have a form with a textarea (i.e. multi-line input possible). I
need to take whatever the user types in there and convert it to an
text image that appears exactly as the user typed it, including any
line breaks and non-alphanumeric characters. I have tried many
things, including saving the text out to a UTF-8 encoded file and
then passing that file directly to IM via command line, but it never
sees the line breaks.
Surely, someone has had to do this before?
