Yes a text string starting with '@' used the rest of the string as a
filename source. in IM.
Here's my situation:
For some reason, "text" stopped working if I have "@" at the
beginning of the filename (it says it can't find the file). If I
remove the "@" from the file path, it sees the text file and performs
some of the operations as expected, but the text is always flush left
and it does not properly display unicode characters. As far as I know
I made no changes on the server otherwise, and if I use "caption"
instead, with the exact same file path, it does still want the "@" at
the beginning of the path to work properly.
Have you ever heard of this problem, and do you have any idea why
might cause it?
But reading the text "@(path}" from a file or input stream
text:@file
will also solve it. Also stops problems of escapeing shell meta
characters, and handling newlines, and unicode characters.
Assuming I get text working properly, and I am reading from a file,
what am I doing to tell it to center the lines rather than set them
flush left? When I did have it working before it was setting the text
centered without me telling it to do so, is that the default
behaviour when using the text:@path option?
