I'd stay with tbe older build, but the Wand api seems quite different

The Wand API is backwards compatible. Newer versions of MagickWand
have additional methods added and perhaps a few deprecated methods but
a program written with the original MagickWand release should continue
to work without complaint.

I'd say I mis-characterized the API as "quite different". What I meant was
the new documentation and example programs on the web site seem at odds
with the old package install I have. Its referencing headers not present, etc.
The new build nicely fits the documentation, and since this is a new program
from me, I feel uneasy about writing to old standards I can't reference to documentation.

I'm currently researching another unrelated branch of this program
(I want it to also build quicktime animations using libquicktime for some old Macintosh
weather clients), so when I get back to this part I'll dig deeper.

This is all so far just pre-coding research.

Thanks,
Brian
