| I am trying to convert various bitmap images from gif and jpg to thm.
|
| The thm files is small thumbnail files uses to display e.g. a video thumbnail.
|
| I can easily convert from the thm images I have to gif or jpg, but the
| other way around gives an error:
|
| convert pixel-vfl73.gif pixel-vfl73.thm
| convert: unable to open module file
| `C:\Programmer\ImageMagick-6.3.0-Q16\modules\coders\IM_MOD_RL_THM_.dll':
| No such file or directory.
|
| Has anyone come across this format?
|
| I seems that it also is used by some camera operators for thumbnail use.
|
| The strange thing is, when I look at the files header, it doesn't look
| like any graphic file I have seen before, however ImageMagick says it
| is just af jpg:
|
| identify -verbose M4V00001.THM
| Image: M4V00001.THM
| ...
|
If it is a JPEG then you should be able to use
convert pixel-vfl73.gif -resize 160x120\! jpg:pixel-vfl73.thm
However a camera may have further restrictions on the JPEG format used.
Such as size, sampling-factors, and compression-quality level
I do not believe the thumbnail is ment to be created by users as
it is probably only ment to be understood by the camera itself.
You may need to ask in some a camera specific forum for more information
about the format.
