I'm looking for a solution to read PICT files (created in a Mac
environment) using ImageMagick in a Linux environment.

While ImageMagick can read some of my test PICT images, it can not read
others. However, I can read all my test images with Windows QuickTime
image viewer - so, I know they are not corrupted, but no other tool in
Windows or Linux could open all test cases. Even Photoshop tells me in
some cases that the image is too complex and the Windows version only
supports raster versions of PICT files.

I tried the utility 'picttoppm' in the Linux environment and it appeared
to work but produced a graphic with the message 'QuickTime and a TIFF
(uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture'.

Are there any solutions (by purchased license or otherwise) that can
open these files in the Linux environment or am I stuck?

Thanks.

-Tom
