This is more a heads-up than a request for help, as the problem is, most
likely, in Emacs.

Since a few days ago the git process hangs while committing changes and
have to kill it. There is no clue on the process buffer about what the
problem is. After pressing C-c C-c on the commit edit log, the git
process starts and nothing more happens.

Committing from VC-dir works.

Executing

echo "log message" | git --no-pager commit -F -

from the command line works fine.

I'm using Emacs GNU Emacs 24.0.50.1 (x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu, X
toolkit) of 2010-07-05. Magit HEAD is bf14e965 and git is 1.7.0.4

The problem doesn't happen on GNU Emacs 24.0.50.1
(i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2010-07-03, same magit, git 1.7.1.msysgit.0
