No groups and group files visible although there must be many in 1.8.1

Bug description:
If I want to add a file to download to Mahara 1.8.1 view I can choose
where I want to take the file from. All my personal files and folders
are visible. When chosing "group files" in older Mahara versions it
was possible so see my groups, choose one of them and to see all the
group files. Now it says that there are no files found.
