Search field loses search query on second page of search

Bug description:
Mahara 1.6, PHP 5.3.10, MySQL 5.1.54
bug occurs on osx and windows, safari and chrome tested.
When at Portfolio/Pages/Copy a Page: if search finds more than one
page of results, the click to second page loses the search query.
For example, if I search owners for "plymouth" I'm told there are 23
pages of results. But if I click to any other page in the search, the
query is lost and I'm shown a total of 86 pages.
