We've been using https:// for file upload without problems. Maybe the
wwwroot was still est incorrectly in the DB?

upload page does not work with https

Mahara 1.6.3, PHP 5.3.3, MySQL 5.1.6, Cherokee 5.0.8, Debian 6.0.7,
Firefox 19
Upload form https://<sitename>/artefact/file does not complete, no
error message, and eventually the Cherokee frontend timed out and took
the user back to the home page.
The entire site was under https and the URL in the config file was
changed to match. Reverting the protocol to http and changing the
config file back got file upload working again.
