With the edusharing-plugin in Mahara it is possible do add audio-files to a textfield in mahara eg in a blogpost.

As in moodle there is the plugins poodll that allows for direct recording of audio/video within tinyMCE. This add a very nice feeling to a forum to be able to speak and have audio.
