I have just created a new git repository and moved all of the non-core branches there:
http://gitorious.org/mahara/mahara-shared Feel free to push anything on there. All members of the mahara-core group on gitorious (http://gitorious.org/+mahara-core) should have commit rights there. Once we have gerrit up and running (I'm currently waiting for a server to put it on), then we'll make the core repo (the one with only the stable and master branches) writable to gerrit only.
