Yes when sending for sure.
When postponing the draft isn't deleted but substituted with the newer 
version
of the draft if the user chooses to save it again? If he doesn't want to 
save the newer
draft I think the old one should be kept.

I can't think of one either, unless one would want to use the mails to 
prove something
and therefore tampering with them would be bad. OTOH, one could do it 
(on Unix) with
any editor.
In addition, it is nice to be able to edit (and resave in the same slot 
in the folder?) the message
as it allows to insert quick comments one may want to elaborate in a reply.
If the insertion font and color could be set separately, it would also 
be very nice.
