 You can make the option only appear in the global dialog by using
Field_AppWide flag for it (while I'm on this subject, you may also
use Field_NotApp to make it only appear at the folder level and not
globally).

 I might imagine a situation when you'd want to use the preview window for
some folders (i.e. busy mailing list which you glance through quickly) but
not for the others. OTOH making this option global is ok for me as well.

 Ideally in this mode it would reuse the same window instead of popping up
