Yes, it is possible: create a filter whose action is "Clear Flag" and select "Unseen" as the flag to clear. IOW, the filter will mark the messages as read -- and so they won't appear as new. However there may be an even simpler way to deal with this if, as I suspect, you simply don't want the SentMail folder to appear red in the tree. If you just want this, right click it, go to "properties" and choose the "folder tree" page. There clear "folder tree format" -- and then SentMail folder status in the tree won't be update any more. The advantage of the latter solution compared to the former is that it may be quite a bit faster than the default behaviour while the former is a bit slower.
