Hello,

I've implemented yesterday the feature I was asked for which was to return
to the last selected message in the folder when it was reopened it and I
must say that after a few hours of using it I already hate it with passion
and I seriously doubt that it could be useful to anyone.

Indeed, with this option on you don't see the new messages when you return
to a folder as the focused item is the message you had already read the
last time you were in this folder. This is really weird and in practice
means that this option is not at all as useful as I thought. I wonder if it
can be improved somehow - for example, maybe, if the last focused message
was the last one in the folder, return to the last one? Or, maybe, ignore
this option if there are new (or unread?) messages in it?

The idea is that although such option would indeed seem useful when you go
to another folder to look up something and want to return to the same
message you were reading when you get back to the original folder, quite
often (99% of the times in my case) you don't want to remember the last
message you were at and, in particular, I don't want it to prevent me from
going directly to the first new message when there are any in the folder.

Any ideas about how to make the behaviour of this option more reasonable?

 Thanks,
VZ
