 I've finally found the time to read/glance over this article and although
this one seems rather practical, it doesn't contain anything new neither:
granted, they use templates and not macros as we do but the idea is exactly
the same. IOW I didn't find any magical solution to all our problems there,
unfortunately. But then I hardly expected to :->
