Well, as was already mentioned, it's a new computer, so there was no 
previous version...

No, I can't see any process that I would connect to Mahogany.

I deleted the entire key with all subkeys. When I started Mahogany (now the 
old 0.64 version) it asked for the program directory, then the license 
dialog appeared again and after accepting, it aborted again with this 
"error sound" just as before. When I start the program again, there's only 
the error sound and no window at all.

I don't get the chance to send a test mail, the wizard doesn't appear.

Is it possible to activate some kind of log file from outside the program, 
so I can provide you with more information where the program actually 
terminates?
Just in case it does matter, it's the "XP home edition" I'm using and I'm 
logged in as a user, but as far as I can tell this account has the same 
privileges than the administrator (well, I don't have to log in explicitly 
anyway, so I'm not sure if there is a distinction anyway).

PS: By the way, I was very pleased to see that bug 587 (the Imap password 
thing) is fixed, and now I can't run Mahogany anymore, that's Murphy's Law! :(
