Let's say we are using mahogany in a soho-environment with no automatic virus- checking mailserver. Let's say some of the users will not be able to remember wether they should right or leftclick an attachment to save it before they can manually do a virus-check or accidentally leftclick an attachment. If these users get mails with malicious attachments, their system will be even more vulnerable to attacks running scripts or executables than under Outlook. If there would be an option for leftclick actions on attachments to toggle between Save-to-disk or executing the default application, you could choose between a more secure or a more comfortable environment. I think such a wonderful piece of software like mahogany, with such a bunch of possibilities to configure it to your needs, should also have a bit more access to some security configuration. > SK> btw: a flag in the message-list (attachment or not) would be > great! > > I've never understood what was it useful for to be honest. With this flag I would be able pick only the ones with an attachment. For example: As an architect I have 50 mails with the subject "BV Frechen, Breite Str." and only 10 of them containing files.
