 The idea is that it should do everything in a globally reasonable way and

 Yes, I forgot to change the build settings to include the SSL in it...
I.e. SSL support is simply not compiled in this snapshot.

 This would be definitely a bug, the options should be inherited (although
they can still be overridden by the child folders, of course). Could you
please have a look with regedit at

        HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mahogany-Team\M\Profile\YourGroup

key and check if the settings were written to the registry correctly?
