Ok. One example would be the "Identity/Organisation" setting.

In the Group folder, I set it to "pnd". The Registry entries:

blah/Mahogay-Team/M/Profiles/Groupfolder/Organisation = "pnd".
blah/Mahogay-Team/M/Profiles/Organisation is not exsistant.

If I try to create a subfolder, the "Identity/Organisation" input field is
empty. As soon as I set the global option  "Identity/Organisation" to
"test", the registry entry is there

blah/Mahogay-Team/M/Profiles/Organisation = "test".

...and the newly created subfolder inherits from the global options.
