 Sorry, I don't understand this last part: what is the question you're
being asked here? I don't see anything in my case.

 I think this was fixed some time ago. I tried doing exactly the same for
my POP folder and it worked as expected. Alan, could you please check if an
entry "Password" with empty value was created under

 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mahogany-Team\M\Profiles\Path\To\Folder

?
